Day trip to Lytham/St Annes

Hey guys!

A few weeks ago I went out for the day with some of my family to Lytham/St Annes.
Luckily it was a warm and sunny day which made the trip even more enjoyable than it already was!

First we went to Lytham for some lunch at a cafe. I had a tuna sandwich and shared a cup of tea (from a pot) with my dad and grandma.

We then looked around the main area of buildings consisting of:
Charity Shops, Cafes, and other shops.

After looking around at some charity shops, I saw a bookshop!!

So guess what I did??

I went in the shop...

I didn't buy anything though.

After looking in more shops, we all went to a cafe so that we could sit down and rest whilst having a drink.

We then went to St Annes which was a 10/15 minute drive further up towards Blackpool

St Annes has a beach with a pier that had an amusement park.

Unfortunately I didn't get any plushies which I was very sad about!

Oh well... Maybe next time!!

However, I did see an amazing view on the pier!

This is a view of the pier I was on from outside of the amusement park

We then walked back through the amusement park to get off the pier.

This is a view of the beach from where we were, when we weren't on the pier.

My dad and Uncles used to visit St Annes when they were children and would always have a Mr Whippy, furthermore a taste test had to happen to see if the classic: 99 (swirly vanilla ice-cream on a cone with a chocolate flake) had changed in taste since they were kids...

This is what the ice-cream van looked like.

This is a pic of me with my ice-cream YUMMY!

Once we had finished our ice-creams my uncle then said that they didn't taste any different from when he was a child!! Which was very surprising as it had been about 40 odd years (thereabouts) since he last went and had Mr Whippy ice-cream!!

After trying the ice-cream we then made our way back home to have a lovely meal out at Pizza Express.

See you in my next blog! Thanks for reading!
