High Street Lipsticks

Hey guys!

A while ago, I bought some lipsticks from Superdrug, which is a shop that sells a variety of make-up, hair, perfume and health stuff.

When I went on their website (which I will link at the bottom of the blog post), I bought some lipsticks.

These lipsticks are from Rimmel and are from the new Kate Moss line.

The lipstick colours consist of three different shades of red and two nudes.

First, I will show you the reds.

Idol Red by Kate Moss from Rimmel

The first red is Idol Red which is a bright red which, I think has a slight orange undertone, giving the red a very good bright shade. This sort of shade is such a classic colour and lovely to wear during Winter as a statement pop of colour during the cold weather. It is also lovely to wear during the Summer months as well.

Muse Red by Kate Moss from Rimmel

This red is slightly darker than Idol Red and is also a lovely, classic red. This shade of red is one of my favourite ones as I find it is such a sophisticated red that gives the wearer a sort of mature look. I find this is the sort of thing to go for if you want to look smart and sophisticated yet glamorous then this shade of red is definitely one to try.

Retro Red by Kate Moss from Rimmel

Retro Red is my most favourite out of the three reds. This is because it is such a dark red and makes me look very adult and is very much a statement lip colour. Dark reds (or any very dark colour) stand out a lot, so if you are unsure about anything to 'Wow!' type of lip or you are not quite confident yet with these sorts of colours then this one might not be for you, unless you feel like trying it, then go and try it! :)

The next two lipsticks are nude colours.

Rock 'N Roll Nude by Kate Moss from Rimmel

The first nude is Rock 'N Roll Nude. This is a staple for my everyday work life as it is a pink nude which is lovely to wear as it is not a bright, noticeable colour. I really reccommend this colour for people who like lipsticks that aren't bright and you can't tell when it has come off from eating (unlike reds etc where you can see it all across your face when you have eaten or drank anything).

My Nude by Kate Moss from Rimmel

Now, this lipstick is very similar to the previous nude lipstick, it is a pink nude which is slightly darker- I think- than the other lipstick. However, I also really like this lipstick and I would wear it to work too and call it a staple for my make-up for work/everyday life. Unfortunately though... I have lost it... Whoops! (hehe!) Oh well!

So this is my lipstick collection from Superdrug, I hope you enjoyed it!

Let me know your favourite lipsticks and tell me why they are your favs!

Bye! xx

I'm Back!

Hey guys long time no see!

Sorry it's been so long, a lot has been happening these past few months that I have not had the time or energy to post on here.

Since my last post, I have turned 20 years old! (Wow!), I now have a job (WHOO! MONEH!) (LOL)

I have also been ill a couple of times so I have not been feeling alive much.

Now that I have told you my news, I will get down to business!

I am now aiming to post on here at least twice a week and I already have ideas in the works for different posts so I should have no excuse for not updating.

So I will now leave you with a picture that is on my camera of a recent moon we have had, it's absolutely beautiful!

Image taken by little sister who took my camera

I mean look at that! Gorgeous!!

Bye! xx

High End Lipsticks

Hey Guys!

Boy has it been a long time since I did a blog post! Sorry it has been so long, I have been really busy with trying to get through my anxiety and getting things done.

So I thought I would give you a tour of my High End lipsticks.

Now, I only have two lipsticks that are expensive and both are from the make-up brand: Mac.

The first Lipstick is: Show Orchid- £15.50

Show Orchid is a pink lipstick with a blue/purple undertone and is considered (by Mac) a 'Very Hot Pink' and is an amplified creme lipstick.

This lipstick is very bright as it is-as mentioned above- a very bright shade of pink.
It is very easy to put on and glides on my lips when I apply it.
Unfortunately it smudges easily when eating/drinking so it can easily spread to your face, which happens to me all the time when wearing coloured lips (pinks, reds, basically any colour that isn't a nude).

When taking it off it is also easy to do, however it does leave a pinky residue on my lips afterwards but usually that doesn't matter to me as when I take it off, it's usually when I am staying home/going to bed so it doesn't really matter.
As this lipstick is a very bright pink, people who aren't confident wearing bright colours will probably want to stay away from Show Orchid as it is what I call an eye-catching colour of lipstick because it is in the Hot Pink shade of pink.

This is also the same for my next lipstick which is called: Candy Yum Yum! £15.50

Candy Yum Yum is a neon pink, matte lipstick that has a blue undertone.
This is a lovely, bright lipstick that is really easy to apply to the lips.

Unfortunately, like the Show Orchid lipstick, Candy Yum Yum is easily smudged and can get onto your face around the mouth area, especially when eating or drinking.

Despite that, I love this lipstick just as much as Show Orchid and both are lovely in their own ways.
I love Show Orchid for it's purple/blueness and how shimmery it looks on my lips.
I also, love Candy Yum Yum because it is a matte lipstick and I luurrve matte lipsticks. Additionally, I love how pink it is, as it reminds me of Barbie and I always associate this shade of pink with Barbie.

Just like Show Orchid, I find that Candy Yum Yum leaves my lips a bit pink from the residue left from the lipstick when it is taken off. Again, this isn't particularly a problem for me as I don't usually change lipstick colours during the day/night.

And that's it!

I hope you liked my post and hopefully you will see a new blog post either later this week or next week!

Oh! By the way, despite what the sentence seems to suggest, I am not a Barbie Girl. It's just I still see the brand in shops etc. (Say in the comments if you got the reference haha!).

Bye! xx

Day trip to Lytham/St Annes

Hey guys!

A few weeks ago I went out for the day with some of my family to Lytham/St Annes.
Luckily it was a warm and sunny day which made the trip even more enjoyable than it already was!

First we went to Lytham for some lunch at a cafe. I had a tuna sandwich and shared a cup of tea (from a pot) with my dad and grandma.

We then looked around the main area of buildings consisting of:
Charity Shops, Cafes, and other shops.

After looking around at some charity shops, I saw a bookshop!!

So guess what I did??

I went in the shop...

I didn't buy anything though.

After looking in more shops, we all went to a cafe so that we could sit down and rest whilst having a drink.

We then went to St Annes which was a 10/15 minute drive further up towards Blackpool

St Annes has a beach with a pier that had an amusement park.

Unfortunately I didn't get any plushies which I was very sad about!

Oh well... Maybe next time!!

However, I did see an amazing view on the pier!

This is a view of the pier I was on from outside of the amusement park

We then walked back through the amusement park to get off the pier.

This is a view of the beach from where we were, when we weren't on the pier.

My dad and Uncles used to visit St Annes when they were children and would always have a Mr Whippy, furthermore a taste test had to happen to see if the classic: 99 (swirly vanilla ice-cream on a cone with a chocolate flake) had changed in taste since they were kids...

This is what the ice-cream van looked like.

T
This is a pic of me with my ice-cream YUMMY!

Once we had finished our ice-creams my uncle then said that they didn't taste any different from when he was a child!! Which was very surprising as it had been about 40 odd years (thereabouts) since he last went and had Mr Whippy ice-cream!!

After trying the ice-cream we then made our way back home to have a lovely meal out at Pizza Express.

See you in my next blog! Thanks for reading!

I love Apple so much! The way they package their phones is so satisfying to look at!

I mean look at that packaging...
I almost didn't want to use my new phone and just keep it in the box!
lol!
Am I the only one who feels this way about Apple packages?

 Bye bye for now!

Finished Exam and Course!

Hey guys!

So I have been doing British Sign Language for three years: Levels 1, 2  and 3.
From this day forward, I have now completed Level 3! YAY!!

It has been a long and stressful year, partly because of the BSL course, partly for other reasons.
Level 3 is the hardest level, this is because it is equal to a high level college course, which when you are doing it for 3hrs a week, once a week, makes it very difficult to absorb the information.

Well... For me anyway...

So I am really glad to have gotten that behind me and tbh...
I hated it.

After doing Level 2 last year, I was ready to move on and do what I really wanted to do.
Art.
I have always drawn and coloured ever since I was little and because of the creative industry getting bigger and there being more and more areas of creativity that people can do these days as a job or learning at college/uni, I finally feel like I might be able to pursue something in this area.

However, my mum wanted me to continue with BSL and do Level 3 and she gave fantastic reasons why I should... So I listened to her reasoning of 'looking good on my CV', 'Continue whilst the knowledge is still fresh in your mind' and all of that shiz.

And went along with it, thinking all the while 'NOOOOOO!!!!!!'

But I have completed it and survived.

All there is for me to do now, is wait for the results of my last exam.
The last  of 3.

Well. It's useful. And I have grown up with BSL all of my life, what with me being hard of hearing and using BSL during times when I couldn't hear properly, especially when I was younger and my hearing was a lot worse.

But anyway, I still have all of my life ahead of me to pursue other things, I am 19 after all...

Oh, btw I have come up with the conclusion that the beginning of my first post the other day, 'Hello my delicious pop tarts' is extremely cringy, so I will stop that before it gets worse! Ha, ha, ha! ... *Ahem*
...

Anyway, bye guys good luck with your results for school, college or uni exams (if you did anything that required exams) and for all you peeps who work, good luck with the rest of the week, it's only 2 more days! You can do it! Then it's the WEEKEND! WHOO!

Tell me what you are up to this weekend if you want!

Bye! xx

My First Ever Holiday!

Hello my delicious pop tarts,

As you can tell by the title, a few weeks ago, I went on my first ever holiday!! WHOO! The place I went to was Callow Top Park where people can camp in tents and caravans or stay in one of the three cottages provided. I stayed in one of the cottages with my two mums and two younger siblings. The cottage has two bedrooms: one has a double bed and a single bed and the other room has a bunk-bed. There is also a sofa-bed in the front room.

To get there, we got trains, buses and a minibus. Which, (in total) took around 6 hours there and back.
Some greenery we went past on the train
We got to Callow Top Park at around 2pm in the afternoon. Initially I shared a room with my sister and the room looked like this:

However, my mum found it uncomfortable sleeping on the sofa-bed in the front room, so me and both of my siblings switched rooms: my sister and I went to sleep in the bunk-bed and my little brother and mums slept in the room with the double and single beds.

The day we arrived, the weather was mostly lovely except some rain in the afternoon. On the Sunday or Monday after we had arrived, the weather was BOILING! Both my sister and I got sunburned, my sister got it worst as they wore a sleeveless top, whereas I was wearing a t-shirt.
Unfortunately, the weather for the rest of the week was mostly not so great, with plenty of rain, and some not rainy but not particularly hot or sunny days. Therefore, we spent most of our week inside with the occasional swim in the outdoor pool.
During this week we mostly saw this:
Whilst vegetating in front of the TV, I 'accidentally' got my brother and sister hooked on a TV Show called 'The Big Bang Theory'. It was an accident! Honest!
*Disclaimer* The people who saw the most of this room was me and my siblings, our mums spent of the days exploring outside despite the bad weather. Such brave humans!
In between being couch potatoes we hung out with friends who were on a campsite nearby in the park and played games with them such as a card game named Uno.
On one of the sunny days (there was about 2), I went for a walk into Ashbourne and did this by walking down a trail, which was beautiful to walk through as there was so much nature!

The local River that runs through Ashbourne.
As I was walking I saw a small bird which I tried to take a picture of.

Unfortunately, the picture is a little bit rubbish and I don't know what type of bird it is, so sorry about that.
I then came across a tunnel which had sound effects that mimicked the sound of a train, which was very cool!

However there were parts of the tunnel that were pitch black, which was creepier than the train noises and reeeaalllyyy didn't help my nerves at all... *ahem*.
Aside from the scary darkness that definitely does not have the girl from The Grudge lurking near the walls of the tunnel, I found something so cool I literally squealed from excitement and happiness...

 EEEEEEEKKKKKKK BADWOLF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For anyone who doesn't know, 'BADWOLF' is from Doctor Who -a British TV Show- from the reboot in 2005 which cropped up again in a later series with David Tennant (the 10th Doctor).
After a week of staying at the cottage, we left on the Friday morning and traveled for 6 hours on multiple different modes of transport to get back home. At around 5-5.30pm we arrived back home in our local area in Manchester.
My thoughts about the trip:
I really enjoyed my first holiday and wished I could live there, shame about the weather though. I would really recommend going to Callow Top Park, however it was very expensive to stay there and was between £400-£650 for a week, not including travel money to get there. I'm not sure about how much it is if you are camping or staying in a caravan, it might be cheaper but you will have to research this information yourself if you are interested, it was definitely worth the debt (for us) though.
Thanks for reading my blog! xx
